After a day off, I'm back with another side dish. This is actually more of a condiment I guess but whatever. It'll go great with your bird and even better the next day on a turkey sandwich. It's really easy to make too.
Put 24 oz. of fresh cranberries in a pot with a half cup of apple or orange juice and 1 cup of sugar. Cover the pot and turn the heat on low. Cook for about 15 minutes, stirring every few minutes. You will hear the berries pop as they heat up and release their liquid. Once all of the berries are opened, strain them through a food mill or mesh strainer getting out as much liquid as possible.
Place the liquid in a clean pot on the stove and turn the heat to high and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook until your stirring does not keep the liquid from boiling. Turn off the heat, let stand for 3 minutes and place into jars or plastic containers. Chill trough before using.
